Rejoice Siaga-Mamphitha plans to offer her guests a royal experience at Rensia Palace and Spa, nestled in the serene Ha-Dumasi village in Venda, Limpopo. As the founder and CEO, Mamphitha is dedicated to combining top-tier hospitality with the village’s natural beauty, creating a haven of relaxation and refinement. Her boutique hotel, which opened earlier this month, ensures guests experience exceptional care and luxury usually reserved for royals and high-ranking dignitaries.
“Our goal is to provide an experience of unparalleled comfort and exclusivity, reflecting the high status of our guests. This is something I’ve encountered during my travels abroad, and I’m bringing that same aura back home,” said Mamphitha, a seasoned traveller inspired by her international experiences. Rensia Palace and Spa offers amenities that set it apart from competitors. “We have a cigar lounge with premium wines and cigars and a rooftop tycoon lounge that exudes exclusivity. When you’re there, you know you’re a tycoon,” Mamphitha told Vutivi News.

The boutique hotel also features an in-house spa managed by a medically qualified doctor, ensuring guests receive top-notch care. “Our therapists are highly trained, and the convenience of an on-site spa means you don’t need to venture out for a massage,” she added. The hotel offers various accommodation, including deluxe and executive rooms. “Our rooms are spacious, unlike many hotels where the bed is the first thing you see. Instead, our rooms greet you with a mini lounge. We’re not just offering a place to sleep; we’re selling an experience,” Mamphitha emphasised.
Looking ahead, she plans to collaborate with nearby attractions, including the Kruger National Park, which is just 40km away, and the nearby Nandoni Dam. “We’re on the Punda Maria road, making us a prime location for visitors,” she said, highlighting her commitment to high-quality services through continuous staff training.
The National Empowerment Fund, which attended the launch of the hotel, has supported its establishment by providing resources such as furniture. Phumudzo Siphuma, the fund’s chief financial officer, expressed pride in backing the project. “This launch reflects our commitment to empowering black women entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth in Limpopo,” Siphuma stated. Supported by the local chief, tribal council and municipality, Mamphitha is determined to expand her brand, with plans to establish Rensia as a franchise nationwide.
